Faith at Home: Practical Parenting Small Group - Starting THIS FRIDAY at 5:30pm-7:30pm.

This 8-week parenting small group uses The Faithful Families Toolkit by Rev. Traci Smith and is designed to be a relaxed, judgment-free space for families with children of all ages and stages from toddlers to teens. Each week begins with dinner together, giving families time to arrive, settle in, and ease into the evening. During the second hour, parents engage in guided conversation and practical reflection around values, time, and everyday faith. Children will spend time together in a supervised, mixed-age play space where kids can play, build friendships, and be part of the shared rhythm of the night.

Dinner and supervision for children are provided with advance notice, so we can ensure a safe and appropriate number of adults present. Please register below.

We are a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world.

As part of the one Body of Christ, we welcome all to the Lord’s Table as God has welcomed us.

FAQs

  • Our worship service begins at 10:30 a.m. in the sanctuary. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with familiar hymns and piano accompaniment. The service typically lasts about an hour.

  • Worship at LAC is eclectic; meaning there is a variety of music styles woven into a traditionally structured worship service. Communion is a part of every Sunday morning worship service. Anyone who desires to take communion is welcome to partake. All are welcome at God’s table.

  • Children are cherished members of our congregation, and we joyfully welcome them in worship. We are an intergenerational church, which means we expect babies to be babies, toddlers to be toddlers, and kids to occasionally make noise. Their sounds are a sign of life in our community—please do not worry about extra wiggles or vocalizations.

Families stay together for most of the service, creating an inclusive space where all ages grow in faith side by side. During the sermon, children are invited to the lobby for an age-appropriate lesson designed to spark wonder and curiosity about God. Parents are always welcome to accompany their child if that feels best.

If you’re looking for simple faith practices to try at home, we have helpful take-home resources available—just ask!

  • We have a large parking lot directly in front of the building, so finding a spot is easy. Look for the main entrance doors facing the lot.
